Volunteering

Colossians 3:23-24 "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ."

Have you ever thought of volunteering but thought you had nothing to offer? Nothing could be farther from the truth. WCA is always looking for volunteers to help with areas of our ministry.

Do you have an hour free once a week? You could help a child who is learning to read by having them read to you. We have need of lunchtime supervision and supervision of students who finish their work early.

Do you have a particular skill that you would like to share? We have opportunities for people to bake, teach sewing, woodworking, and life skills that will benefit students for years to come.

Don’t have time to spare? There are still ways you can help. We have ongoing needs of supplies and materials necessary to keep the school operating. We are able to offer Charitable tax receipts for all gifts of products donated to the school for their original market value.

Volunteering is a great way to serve those around you and also make yourself feel good about those you have helped.

To quote the Gospel of Mark Chapter 10 verse 45 “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

All volunteers must meet the following criteria:

-You must be at least 18 years of age

-You must provide a recent criminal record check including the vulnerable sector.

-You must complete the WCA Child Protection Policy Training

If you are interested in helping out, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will be more than happy to find a way for you to serve.
